I had a great experience. Adam braided my hair down exactly as I asked . I will be returning. The only thing I really don't like is that they don't have a price list. They just "come up" with prices on the spot or as they go. I don't think that's good practice for any business.

1st time customers, will return. The atmosphere was very open & friendly with smiles. Professional women that helped me find the correct hair color and answered all my questions. The lady who did my hair started around 10 & finished around 1:30 (fast) my twist was so neat. She did an awesome job. Now let's see how long they last lol

My mom recommended this hair salon to me. I went to this location about 2 weeks ago now. All my braids still look good and my hair is still blended and tucked.

The store was clean and organized. The owner was nice and tried to fit in all the walk ins. I made an appt for 8 or 9am and there were already 3ppl being serviced when I arrived but I was served quickly. Their wifi is strong too

I got the (box braids w knots) so I have a lot of braids. Im tender headed and for I was moving and ooo ouch while the ladies were braiding but they understood and tried to be gentle. Nice hair washing service too for $20 extra. I would highly recommend, will be back for knotless braids next time.

First time going to this salon and first time getting knotless and they did a great job. Very fast service went in about 10:30 got started at 11 and was done before 1:30 I had a beautiful young lady and older lady working on my head they worked neat and took their time looks like only person worked on my head. Definitely will go back

My braids are never too tight, I don't leave with a headache, they are super fast, and I still have my edges. I would definitely recommend this business for your braiding needs.

I have been looking for another salon to braid my hair for awhile. I decided in 2022, it was time for a change. Usually I am very skeptical with other salons because I had been going to my last salon for more than 10 years. I was very pleased with how my hair turned out and I will be going back for my hair care needs. I would definitely recommend going to this salon. They were fast, neat and friendly.

Got my hair done a month ago and it still looks new! Honestly I give this place 5 stars because the owner cares about how my hair looked and I enjoyed getting my hair done! The two people that did my hair were really nice and I didnt move not once (Ive been getting my hair done for a long time lol). Out of all the places Ive went to, I feel comfortable here! I will be back to get my hair done again :)

Absolutely LOVED the customer service! Quick and very gentle (I was able to put my hair into a top bun with he next day). I was able to come in the same day to get small box braids and was out within 3 hours as promised. I will be returning and referring others!

I have NEVER written a review on an establishment before. I guess after 5s of Excellent service and amazing beautiful hair. You have to give honor where honor is due. Sophie and the ladies(Adam, Kinney) and all the others are very professional and PATIENT. I say patient because I've been places where although you're paying YOUR MONEY they're short and very dismissive to what it is your asking for verses what it is THEY WANT TO DO. Not here. I highly recommend anyone who wants quality hair and a comfortable atmosphere visit V.I.P. African hair braiding and see for yourself!!!

My recent visit I got medium long box braids for $185. Two people started on my hair at 1PM and I was finished at 516PM. This time around was extremely painful. The braids are so tight they I ran cold water on my hair the next day. It was so painful that I even considered removing the braids. Today makes 6 days since I got my hair done, and my braids are still super tight. My scalp is covered with scabs. I have to constantly oil my hair for instant relief. I give this place 4 stars because they do good service, and you get what you pay for. If your tender headed, this may not be the place for you. I don't think I will be back.

I HAVE HAD MY HAIR DONE THERE THREE TIMES, EACH STYLE IS BETTER EVERY TIME. THEY HAVE EXCELLENT BRAIDING SKILLS AND VERY FRIENDLY.

First time here... I have been to other African shops previous and I would say this is one of the better shops. Yes, they definitely still braid tight as *^%# but my braids look very nice. They were professional and very timely. I stopped in the day before to get a price and make an appointment. Came back a little earlier than my appointment time and was seated right away. I had two braiders most of the time and they were somewhat considerate of my tender scalp. They worked 4 hours non-stop. I would return.

Was a call ahead and was able to get seating upon arrival (called 30 minutes ahead). They we're all super friendly. I would say to pay in cash though just because it's a faster method of exchange. The actual shop is decent I would say they could be a little more sensitive to everyone's pain tolerance because tight isn't always better for the scalp. But overall kind and wonderful people and hair came out great. See pics below.

My stylists did a great job. I really liked my hair and how I was treated. Kids are allowed in the shop but my hair was done in a timely fashion. The ladies work hard and deserve to be treated fairly so I tipped my stylists for a job well done. My appointment was at 10 am.......she started on my hair 20 mins later finishing with another client but once she started she did'nt stop untill the job was done. I will be getting my hair done again at this shop. My motto is treat others the way you want to be treated.
